Still awaiting the arrival of your Grenadier 4×4? Good news. INEOS says delivery times for 2025 vehicle orders will soon be slashed from the previous average of six months plus, down to more like two to three months.

Reasoning behind this dramatic improvement is that INEOS’s Hambach factory in France will reopen in early January, following on from a forced shut-down for the final quarter of 2024 due to ‘critical component shortage’ in its supply chain.

This welcome news comes in tandem with wider availability of the latest Grenadier 4×4 variant, the farm-targeted Grenadier Commercial, which sells alongside INEOS’s other model ranges, the Station Wagon and Quartermaster.

The two-seat Grenadier Commercial van is VAT-reclaimable and tows 3.5t. For those in a rush to buy, INEOS has some pre-configured examples in stock.

Starting at a price of around £52,000, the Commercial is only sold in the UK and is based on the firm’s two-seat Utility wagon. The Commercials are built in Hambach and then shipped to EDC in Pontypool, the company behind Ford’s MS-RT variants, where they are modified to meet HMRC requirements for a commercial vehicle.

This makes the Commercial the sole VAT-reclaimable model in the Grenadier line-up. Mods include fitting aluminium panels in place of glass in the rear door and disabling the seat mounting and seatbelt brackets, so that the vehicle is a ‘permanent’ two-seater. In farming speak, the Grenadier Commercial is a direct alternative to Land Rover’s Defender vans, the 90/110 Hard Top.
