Dieci has launched a second fully electric telehandler, the Mini Agri-e 20.4 (2.0t/4.0m) Smart.
Joining the Mini Agri-e 26.6 (2.6t/6.0m), the Italian company’s first fully electric handler, the onboard charging system for the 22kWh lithium battery pack in the 20.4 can be plugged into different electricity sources, including 220 and 380-400v systems. The voltage is 96v.
With a top speed of 20km/hr and a towing force of approximately 3.1t, the Mini Agri-e 20.4 Smart is said to offer the same performance as the 50hp (37kW) Kubota diesel-powered model.
The integration of hydraulic functions is said to prevent battery power from being wasted, and the firm’s Adaptive Load Sensing system conserves energy and increases battery run time. There are three steering modes, and the load-sensing, electronically controlled proportional valve allows for up to three simultaneous boom movements.
Described as spacious, the cab comes with an adjustable steering wheel, radio, sun visor, suspended seat, 7″ display, semi-automatic air conditioning, LED work lights and rear-view mirrors (cameras optional).
Both electric handlers are also available as identical construction models; the Apollo-e 20.4 Smart and Apollo-e 26.6.
