REPORT: Auctioneer Masons Rural was tasked with selling the machinery fleet from D Haxby Farms. A nice mix of well-cared-for tractors and arable machinery went under the hammer at the end of September.

This retirement sale attracted a huge turnout with the bidders being a 50:50 mix of farmers and the trade. Auctioneer Ed Middleton, from Louth-based Masons Rural, comments that the majority of the smaller items were bought by farmers along with a handful of the higher value lots. The big ticket offer on the day was the John Deere 6250R which hit £100k on the nose. This 2019 tractor had just 1,925 hours and would be considered good value for its hours and spec.
