Following two unsuccessful attempts to find a buyer, Polish manufacturer Ursus is back on the market, this time for the knock-down price of €17.3 million.
Almost 60% lower than the original asking price of around €30 million when the Polish tractor and machine maker was declared bankrupt in 2021, there was also no interest when this price dropped to €23 million for the second attempt.
The three plants included in the sale include the tractor facility in Lublin, where no tractors have been made since 2022. However, the factory in Dobre Miasto is still manufacturing farm machinery, including manure spreaders, trailers and round balers.
Despite the uncertain future, Ursus recently unveiled plans to launch a 25hp C-325 compact tractor. Based on Chinese technology, the plan is to assemble the Perkins powered tractor in Lublin.
Written bids for the Ursus business can be submitted until October 22, 2024.
