The throughput of the new XDisc 710 (7.1m) wholecrop header is said to be around 20% higher than the existing XDisc 620 (6.2m).

Developed to use the full potential of a powerful forager more efficiently, the cutterbar of the new header is based on the EasyCut mower technology already employed in the XDisc 620.

The speed of the 900mm diameter feed auger can be optimally adjusted to the intake speed of the forage harvester in three stages, depending on the cutting length of the crop.

One of the most striking options for the new header is the integrated transport chassis. Available solely for the Big X, it eliminates the need for a separate transport trailer, significantly reducing changeover times.

The transport chassis is equipped with a single axle on the right of the header. The drawbar with folding support jack is located on the opposite side. When the hydraulic system has been coupled and the header raised, the driver swivels the drawbar and the axle of the running gear directly from the cab.

In the field, both running gear components hydraulically swivel behind the header. The process is reversed for transport, and with the header on the ground it attaches to the forage harvester’s tow coupling. A lighting system is integrated into the header.

Other XDisc 710 options include vertical side knives (also offered on the XDisc 620). Individually raised and lowered from the cab, they provide blockage-free cuts when working in tangled or heavily lodged conditions.
