Teagle is replacing its loader-mounted Telehawk straw processor with the new Tomahawk 6200H which has the added bonus of being able to attach to a tractor’s linkage. Available for the upcoming season and to be launched at the Royal Cornwall Show next week, the Tomahawk 6200H retains the entirely hydraulic drive system. Capable of handling round bales up to 1.50m in diameter as well as 2.8m long squares, the 6200H has a loading door, something which was not on the first Telehawk models when it was launched in the 2014.

It continues to use the Bluetooth connected control box which incorporates a pushbutton for pausing and resuming spreading. The newcomer also has the auto-reverse function for the cross beater to prevent it being overloaded and help tease the bale apart. The claimed spreading distance is up to 13.5m from the 280 degree swivel chute. Hardox is used on the key surface wearing components.

Different bolt on headstock systems allow the 6200H to be hitched to a tractor’s front or rear linkage or picked up by several common types of  loader and telehandler quick attach systems. If it is to be used on a tractor travelling on public roads then the optional road lighting pack is needed. Otherwise, the list of options is relatively short, a remote tailgate switch and the ‘Ski Jump Chute’ for bedding pig arcs or placing mulched material under trees in orchards.
