With Agritechnica behind us, the British farm machinery sector is now fully focussed on Lamma where Standen Engineering will show a new version of the Powavator HS400 rotary tiller.
Available in two-bed straddle and triple bed options, the HS400 has redesigned narrower side drives, minimising soil disturbance, and making them simpler to maintain. The deeper hull design reduces tine wear and fuel consumption.
The new main gearbox design is rated to 400hp plus and offers rotor speed of 330rpm, giving a finer finish and allowing a faster forward speed.
The Powavator HS400 can be fitted with 10 or 12mm ‘L’ or speed blades and is available with shearbolt or auto-reset legs. There’s also a rear hood option for planting systems that don’t require a destoner while a bed tiller version incorporates the Standen BX Bedformer series.
Within each range there is the choice of a working widths from 1.8m to 6.0m, to suit 1.8m and 2.0m wheelings as well as different bed forming body/rear wheel configurations.
In the run up to the show, we’ll preview some more new machines set to make their UK debut at Lamma, which takes place on January 17 and 18 at the NEC in Birmingham.
