Crab steer is nothing new on self-propelled root crop harvesters, but Danish firm Agro Intelligence is possibly one of the first to adopt the technique on a trailer. The company will use this week’s Agromek farm machinery show to launch a hydraulically-operated concept which not only ensures all four trailer wheels run in a different track, but also straddle the tractor wheels. Called 6Trax, and designed to reduce compaction, the trailer’s two axles are hydraulically locked from the tractor cab for road transport. Profi will be at the Herning exhibition centre this week to report on this and other new developments. The Danish show, the largest of its kind in Northern Europe, starts tomorrow (Tuesday) and ends on Friday. Over 530 exhibitors will be present and around 50,000 visitors are expected.
