Suffolk-based A H Engineering is launching a family of Hi-Cap muckspreaders that effectively fills the gap between the firm’s smaller VB vertical beater and SD spinning disc machines. Like the VBs, the 14-20t Hi-Cap models rely on vertical beaters to spread their load. The difference is that the Hi-Caps’ beaters are bigger, and they gain extra body width, too. It’s these two features that are said to allow the Hi-Caps to discharge a broader range of materials — namely, dry composts, biosolids and green waste, as well as more conventional farmyard manures. On price, a 20t Hi-Cap complete with slurry door lists at £29,000.
