This refers to the French manufacturer meeting the European wide Mother Regulations which were introduced on tractors a few years ago, and will be applied to implements in 2025. This included the introduction of dual line hydraulic brakes so that the trailed implement/trailer brakes are automatically applied in the case of becoming uncoupled.

Other aspects such as the position of lights and side markers are also part of the homologation process. Rolland’s man in the UK, Alex Clothier says the most of its tipping and cattle trailers as well as the muck spreaders are now homolgation ready, but there is a cost of around €1,850 to do so.

Also on show for the first time was a new ‘dynamic weighing’ system as a cheaper alternative to the full load cell kit – €8,000 versus €15k. This will automatically lower the slurry door towards the end of the load and speed up the floor to maintain the application rate. But the main benefit is that once calibrated it will maintain the volume of material going out relative to the forward speed or it can be paired with an application map.

The French were suitably impressed enough to give this an innovation award.
