These are also made in China, but come from Jiansu. For the Irish market these will be renamed Adare and there are four key models, with and without cabs.
The 820 is a good example of both, with a ROPs frame this 1,120kg lift loader is €24,000 (prices plus VAT) or €1,000 extra for the fully glazed cab. Power is from a 33hp Kubota engine linked to a Bondioli & Pavesi two-speed hydrostatic transmission. The biggest model is the 830, a 37hp, 1,600kg lift machine with a price tag of around €30,000.
Niall Shorten, owner of Adare Hire explained they have added the smaller loaders to cater for the construction, agri and equine markets. The 820 weighs less than 2,400kg with an attachment so it can be towed behind a suitable road vehicle.
With regard to the larger Haihong loaders, Niall says he was initially looking at adding secondhand loaders to the firm’s hire fleet for farms that have expanded and need extra winter feeding capacity. But with the cost and wear of a used machine, the Chinese new alternative looked appealing. Since then, Ardee Hire has imported 235 Haihong loaders and has 52 more due between now and the end of the year.
Interestingly, all of the machines on the Adare stand had any easy to spot serial number complete with CE mark. The same could not be said of some other Chinese built loaders on show at this years Ploughing.
