Available in both short and long wheelbase configurations, the new five-model M6-001U (Utility) series spans outputs from 104-143hp. The new Stage V range succeeds the MGX series.

The 3.8-litre Kubota engine in the 4.5t short wheelbase (2.54m) M6-101U and M6-111U peaks at 104hp and 111hp, respectively, with maximum torque figures of 346Nm and 379Nm.

The 6.1-litre block in the long wheelbase (2.68m) M6-121U, M6-131U and M6-141U provides outputs of 123hp, 133hp and 143hp, with maximum torque figures of 503Nm, 544Nm and 586Nm respectively. These three larger models weigh 4.8t. Engine technology on all models has seen an improvement in exhaust after-treatment, with increased DOC and DPF performance.

The 40km/hr semi-powershift transmission in all five tractors uses eight powershifts in three mechanical ranges (24×24). The option of a creeper range increases this to 32×32. Auto-shifting is included in each range, as is a sensitivity dial to adjust the responsiveness of gear changes to suit the load on the tractor.

The hydraulic system provides 71lit/min (short wheelbase) and 77lit/min (long wheelbase), while two mechanically operated spool valves are standard. Rear lift capacities are 5.0t (short wheelbase) and 6.1t (long wheelbase), and a two-speed 540/1000 pto is standard (540 Eco option).

Other options include a 2.6t capacity front linkage, 1,000rpm front pto, front axle suspension, two additional spools and a sunroof for users looking to fit a front loader. The two front loaders provide 3.7m or 4.0m lift height to the pin, and maximum lift capacities of 1.95t or 2.20t respectively.

Operator comfort is provided by an air suspension seat and the new models use the cab frame from M6-002 and M7003 models. Available from Kubota (UK), prices start from £53,300 for the 104hp M6-101U. The M6-141U costs £75,200. Warranty packages are available with up to five years and 5,000 hours of cover.
