The three-model DT (Delta Track) range comprises the 492hp 3485, 542hp 3535 and 583hp 3575, which is claimed as the most powerful Russian-built tractor.
We know the Delta Track from the Canadian-made Versatile tractors. Otherwise, the Russian models share the rest of the spec, including the 15-litre Cummins QSX block and 16fx4r powershift, with the wheeled RSM 3000 tractors.
Rostselmash has started building a new tractor factory at a 14ha site close to the main one at Rostov-on-Don to keep pace with demand for its increasing number of tractor models. This currently includes the rigid chassis 1000 (345hp-370hp) series launched at the back end of 2020, the articulated 2000 (380hp-405hp) range and 3000 (440hp-583hp) wheeled and DT models.
Expected to be up and running late 2022/early 2023, the 62,000m² production building at the new site will have the capacity to produce 5,000 tractors a year. Rostselmash plans to produce a full range of tractors at the new facility from 170hp to in excess of 600hp.
The Russian manufacturer currently produces 24 different types of farm machinery (includes combines and self-propelled forager harvesters) at its 13 production sites and has 13,000 employees. The closest machines to the UK are in Germany where the company has 22 dealers.
