Available in seven, eight and nine furrow versions, the semi-mounted reversible Tyrok 400, the new flagship in the Amazone plough range, is for 400hp class tractors.
Main features include the SpeedBlade plough body, the patented extra-large front shin of which is said to reduce wear on the main mouldboard. In work, the main wear point automatically shifts further and further back towards the centre of the plough body as the forward speed increases.
Amazone says only the front shin of the mouldboard has to be initially replaced when used at higher speeds. A selection of different slatted and solid mouldboard profiles are available.
Other new features include SmartTurn and AutoAdapt. At the headland, the fast turning (takes nine seconds to complete) SmartTurn procedure is hydraulically slowed down twice just before the end. This results in a damping effect which reduces stress on the materials when the cylinder is retracted.
Allowing quick and safe response to slopes or changing soil conditions, AutoAdapt automatically adjusts the front furrow hydraulically when the overall working width is changed on variable furrow width models.
Mechanical furrow width adjustment is standard on the Tyrok as is hydro-pneumatic suspension of the support wheel for maximum driving comfort and road safety.
Options include hydraulic adjustment of the working width from the cab, hydraulic overload safety protection and traction control. The latter uses a hydraulic cylinder to transfer weight to the rear axle of the tractor. Benefits include reduced slippage, maximum pulling power and fuel savings.
Optional soil engaging tools include various skimmers and trash boards and additional landside protectors can be attached to the shares when working on slopes. An optional sword landside, which protects the edges of the front shin of the mouldboard from wear and cuts a clean furrow wall, is said to be ideal for stony and heavy soils. Disc coulters can be fitted to the last body.
The Tyrok 400 is available with a swivel press arm for working with a packer.
