The Dutch firm is testing prototypes of 15.0m and 18.0m slurry injectors. The two XL models will be available for the 2022 slurry season.
Completing the Profi series, which was developed to provide the flexibility to work on tramlines, lower application rates and increase precision, the XL models join the recently launched Eco (5.25m to 7.5m) and Profi versions (7.5m to 12m).
The frame and folding/unfolding cylinders on the two XLs are essentially the same. The main difference is the new technique to fold and unfold the five-section 15.0m and seven-section 18.0m injectors.
In the field, the oscillating design of the five or seven sections allows them to follow ground contours. Downward pressure can be applied using the hydraulic cylinders for a constant cutting depth.
The XL models are equipped with the familiar duo elements with double or new single V-discs (both at 18.75cm row spacing). The V-disc is also suitable for working on stubbles or injecting slurry into spring cereals.
Like other models in the Profi range, the XL can be fitted with hydraulic or pneumatic drip stop. In the hydraulic variant, the injector is closed off by valve beams mounted on the central, side and end frames. This version is also available with hydraulic section control.
On the pneumatic variants, the 15.0m model is equipped with 20 sections of 75cm (18.0m has 24 sections). These pneumatic versions can be equipped with GPS ISObus controlled section control.
Both injectors are fitted with two 48-hole Vogelsang ExaCut ECQ distributors.
