Pöttinger has expanded its arable portfolio with a range of mechanical hoes made by fellow Austrian company Cross Farm Solution (CFS).

The details are under wraps until the spring, but we can reveal that in addition to acquiring the CFS arable division product line, the two founders and some staff will officially join Pöttinger on August 1, 2021, which is also the official launch date of the machines in Pöttinger colours.

“When expanding our arable product range, we wanted to make sure that the high specifications of the machines in this segment are met in terms of ease of use, high output, reliability and durability,” comments Stephan Ackermann, director product management. “We will achieve exactly that in adding the products from CFS to our product range.”

The CFS location in Stoitzendorf will operate as a crop care competence centre, mainly concerned with product development, but also with manufacturing various products.

Gregor Dietachmayr, spokesperson for the Pöttinger management team is convinced the company has taken an important step for the future. “With this new product segment, we are closing the gap that we previously had in our range of arable farming products,” he comments.

CFS also makes machines for the fruit and wine-growing sectors. This is not included in the deal with Pöttinger.
