Knight has put operator comfort at the top of the list with an all-new cab for its 2000 series self-propelled sprayer. Geoff Ashcroft took a closer look
By Knight’s own admission, there is some room for improvement when it comes to the firm’s cab design currently fitted to its 1800 and 2000 series self-propelled sprayer platforms.
“Our existing cab design with its sliding door remains popular with operators,” says David Main, Knight’s technical director. “But this cab is now four years old and we can see a few areas where we can improve the design to add value to our range. Particularly with our larger sprayer platform.”
Mr Main states that sprayer operators are constantly seeking better visibility, lower in-cab noise levels and more space. “We need to provide that level of increased comfort to continue to attract operators to the cab and ultimately, maintain growth across our self-propelled sprayer business,” he adds.
